Private, closed patio with gas grillThe house is kept in a modern, nordic and simple style giving you all the comfort you need and is easy to keep fresh and clean at all times – very allergy friendly. The kitchen is fully and nicely equipped, and on your terrace you find a large Weber gass grill. The only extras you need to bring are towels for the beach. That is not incl. and we ask our guests kindly not to use our towels outside.The house is very child friendly with a closed garden and no dangerous corners etc. Even though the house is in walking distance from the center of Lavinio, with bars and music etc., is always very calm in the evenings, allowing you to sleep with open windows, only disturbed by the birds singing. In Italy many beaches are private, BUT we ususally go to a very nice beach just near out house (approx. 1.2 km). It is just next to a private beach and you are allowed to use the restaurants, bathrooms, showers etc – but it is free and cleaned by the private beach owners by law.Extra cleaning and babysitter can be arranged with a trusted lady.Our guests have access to free WIFI all over the house. Fully equipped kitchen with SMEG oven and gas stove plus a gas Webergrill in the garden, dish washer and washing mashine. We can also supply guest baby bed + Trip Trap Baby seat.It is our highest interest that our guests are happy end enjoying their stay in our house. We therefore ask you to contact us directly by phone or mail if you have any questions or problems during your stay. We are always happy to assist you asap.Lavinio is 50 min. outside Rome in Lazio; the beautiful region in the middle of Italy and this once Roman stronghold has much to offer besides just Rome itself. Its towns and cities are an impressive testimony to the whole of the Roman era as well as to the Middle Ages. Lavinio itself is a small, calm seaside holiday spot loved by romans since the early 60ties. In this little town, you will find more supermarkets, meat markets, 4 different fish markets and many different, good and cheap restaurants – all In walking distance (approx 300 meters) from the house.There are many sandy beaches around Lavinio/Anzio (private as well as public). The sea is calm, clean and with low water some meters out, making it ideal for families with children. The island of Ponza (boats going every day from Anzio) is capable of satisfying even the most discerning beachgoer. It has a fine white sandy beach and cliff formations that make diving exciting.The train station is a 20 min. straight walk from the house with trains going to Rome every hour. Easy to park near the station.You will also find busses going along the sea towards Rome or to Anzio and Nettuno.We have lived in this house for 9 years when we were working for the UN in Rome. Now we use the house as our holiday home. We love staying there because the area is calm (but never dull) and people are very friendly. Most turists coming to Lavinio are Italians so dont expect a lot of other foreigners – that is what we also love about this place. The prices in Lavinio are much more economic than in Rome or further up the coast and you will find that fresh fish, meat and fruit/vegetables etc. are sold at a very fair price and always fresh.

You are not allowed to smoke inside. Anymals are not allowed, but pls. write, in case you would like to bring a small anti allergic dog.All guests staying for more than a week, will after 7 days (and then weekly) have an extra cleaning and change of linen, towels etc. This amounts to 32 euros , payed directly to the cleaning lady .Check in time is 4 PMCheck out before 10:00 AMPlease respect, unless otherwise is agreed.
