Beautifully restored apartment with private courtyard combining antique & classical furnishings with contemporary comfort. It is located moments from the magical Zattere waterfront in Dorsoduro Venice and near to the Accademia & Guggenheim museums. Our beautiful restored courtyard apartment has been selected for Alastair Sawday’s Special Places website. They ‘reject the bland, the corporate and the impersonal’ & ‘select only the most special places and owners’. We have also been mentioned in an article on Venice by Guardian newspaper. Youll find it literally moments from Zattere with its stunning views across the water to Giudecca Island. The furnishings enhance the apartments character combinig classical style with contemporary comfort. Exposed beams & subtle terrazzo flooring give a traditional Venetian finish while the Italian chandeliers, original oil paintings and textiles add more than a hint of luxury. The apartment’s spacious lounge has sofa beds & comfortable seats. There is a home cinema system with ipod dock & WiFi access is available throughout. The double bedroom looks out onto the delightful paved courtyard which can be reached through a well-appointed kitchen. Enjoy your breakfast in the sun while planning another wonderful day in Venice. The entire apartment and private courtyard is available for your use. Access to the apartment is via the Meet & Greet service. There is a €35 fee which is payable in cash to the representative. She will meet you at the designated meeting point, which is San Basilio vaporetto. ( This is about a 3 minute walk to the apartment).I will be available via email or telephone, but we have our local representative available in case of emergency.Shopping: We are just around the corner from one of the few Venetian supermarkets, 2 minutes walk away. Buying food couldn’t be easier. Or be more adventurous and go to the famous floating barge crammed with fruit and vegetables just off San Barnaba. There is the daily food market in nearby Campo Santa Margherita and various other small food outlets scattered around where you can buy meats, cheese etc. This will be a more interesting although challenging shopping experience than the supermarket! You will find many antique and gift shops in Dorsoduro, notably around San Barnaba and the Peggy Guggenheim Museum/Salute area.Location: You could not be in a better location as we are situated in one of the most desirable parts of Venice by the Zattere promenade where you can take your strolls along with the Venetians. The water bus stops ‘San Basilio’ and ‘Zattere’ are only a few minutes away, from which you can start your journeys for outings further afield, including perhaps a day trip to the outer islands. This area is the centre of the Arts in Venice and is richly populated with Museums, Galleries, Churches and Historic buildings. The nearest vaporetto (water bus stop) called San Basilio is only about 3 minutes walk away. Another nearby vaporetto the Zattere is about a 7 minute walk away.It is very important that you ring the Meet & Greet representative about 40 minutes before you will arrive at the meeting point which is San Basilio vaporetto.
