Traditional trullo with pool a Bari

Trullo Carlotta is lovely family-owned villa set in the heart of Puglia. It’s been our holiday home for over 10 years and is ideal for a family get away, large groups or multiple families looking to go on holiday together. The trullo sleeps 7 comfortably, has a private fenced pool and is surrounded by olive groves.The trullo is ideal for a private family getaway, large groups or two families wanting to go on holiday together. The building itself is a traditional trullo, recently refurbished and with an extension to accommodate more bedrooms. The original trullo is linked to the new part of the trullo via a kitchen that opens out onto the outdoor dining area. The villa is tastefully decorated with many of the furnishings locally sourced from potteries and antique markets.There is a sizeable and secure private pool for your sole use, with a room underneath to store games, toys for the pool and suitcases. There are many places to relax outside – around the pool, on the garden patio surrounded by vines and fruit trees, and the outside dining area. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean.Guests have access to all facilities including the garden, pool and trullo.Our friends Alex and Julia will be there to meet and greet you at the trullo and provide help should you need it. You will be given more details about this further on.Castellana Grotte is a well-known tourist destination but tourists rarely venture into the town itself. There is plenty to do locally, for example there is a good selection of beaches, towns, and restaurants. Monopoli, the nearest large town is only a 30 minute drive away and boasts great nightlife if you like eating and drinking out. You can find some lovely shops, restaurants, markets and beaches here too, and in the summer they often have evening festivals in the main piazza.Guests will need a car to get out and about as the trullo is roughly 3km from the nearest town and there is little public transport in the area.Although public transport and taxis are on the up here, you will need a car to get out and about.

The trullo is in a rural location which means there may be local farmers working on the surrounding land. We ask guests to respect the farmers’ privacy and we ask the farmers to mutually respect guests by letting us know when they will be doing work such as spraying.
